Professional Experience

Jessie Brennan has worked as a core member of the Plan Projects team on the Area Cultural Strategies for Chancery Lane and Trumpington Meadows, bringing her experience both in curatorship and working with local communities. She completed her MA in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in 2007 and has gone on to develop a socially engaged form of practice.

She was commissioned by Art on the Underground for projects at Edgware Road Station and Southwark Station in 2010 and 2009 respectively;  she is currently working on The Cut, an artist lead project about the River Lee Navigation Canal, commissioned by SPACE and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund; and, in the past few months, was selected by Open West to lead a community project and exhibition with local groups from Hesters Way, Cheltenham, as part of a regeneration scheme supported by Arts Council England.

In 2009 Jessie gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Art and Design (CLTAD), qualifying her to teach in Further and Higher Education.  She is currently a visiting university lecturer in drawing and leads projects for a number of galleries in London, where she lives and work.
