Professional Experience

Kamya is a Built Environment Expert with Design Council CABE (BEE). She has a background in research, architecture and urban design with varied international experience in engaging communities to develop meaningful space-making strategies.

Her international career has allowed her to work in diverse contexts such as the San Francisco Bay Area, USA, and rural India to develop spatial strategies for streetscape improvements, linear parks, and particularly challenging post-disaster rehabilitation scenarios.

Communities ranging from resident and neighbourhood associations, school children and their PTAs, rural farming folk and artists have taken part in participatory planning events designed and conducted by her around the issues of the built environment and spatial planning.
