Professional Experience

Sam has over 10 years experience working as both an artist and producer, delivering projects for Southbank, Peabody Housing, Brighton City Council, and The British Museum.

He specializes in creating platforms for community participation and engagement. Key projects have included a newspaper produced at Tate Liverpool with over 100 contributions from gallery visitors; a community photo-archive exhibition and book in North Cheam exploring its past, present and future, and a school ecology project in Brighton creating a website and insect habitats.

He is also experienced producing site-specific public artworks including modular stone seating using locally sourced sandstone and large-scale poster artworks and murals.

Sam edits the Torque series of books on art and technology and an essay of his was recently included in Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin’s War Primer 2 book which won the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize.
