Professional Experience

Vincenzo is an urban designer with experience in community based projects and urban activism. His practice, operated in Italy through a non-profit organisation Bandolargo, has delivered the reuse of redundant buildings for civic and economic purposes and interventions to activate poorly used public spaces in the south suburbs of Milan.

He has conceived innovative community engagement programmes, such as a workshop series inspired by the architecture, local heritage and ‘rapid-prototyping’ of products designed to stimulate greater community involvement in urban regeneration processes. A recent project focused on the post-war factories clustered within the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, using pen manufacturing to stimulate commentary on local development plans put forward by the local authority.
